When the examination for pre-requisite modules will be conducted?The exam for the prerequisite module(s) will be conducted before the commencement of the module. In fact student will be able to apply for the module only after clearing the pre-requisite exam Is there any fixed starting date for the particular module/course?There is no fixed starting date for the module. Individual centre can start any module at any time depending upon the local conveniences. However, before registration and payment of Rs.500/- and or applying for the module / course the student must confirm with the local centre about the conduct of the module / course.The schedule for the examination is fixed as given below. While applying for a module / course the student is required to specify the schedule of the examination in which the student is likely to appear. Any change in this schedule once declared will be possible only after the payment of the re-exam fee. When will the examination for the module to which I got admission be conducted?The end module examination will normally be conducted in the last week of March, June, September and December as per the schedule declared by the ACTS, NRC Pune from time to time.At the time of applying for a particular module / course in case a particular schedule is not convenient to the student, then one can opt for a schedule, which is the immediate next one. Which Certificate will I get?1. If the student clears the module then the student will get the module credit certificate.2. If the student clears the entire set of modules in a course (Diploma or Certificate course) then he / she will get the corresponding certificate for the Diploma course or the Certificate course. 3. If the student clears a set of modules in the GraDE IT and accumulate a total of 337 credits then he / she will get the GraDE IT certificate. How do I accumulate the required 337 credits in the GraDE IT programme ?For details on how to earn the credits for all modules in GraDE IT programme (please refer to the "Course Modules and their Details Table" on page 7 of the GraDE IT brochure). The total of all the modules comes to 292, which contains the credit for one project only.In order to get the GraDE IT certificate a student must complete all the modules of the programme including the specified individual projects for the respective Diplomas under the programme. This will thus, add a total of 45 credits to the module credits of 292 totaling to a figure of 337. Therefore the total credits will be: 1. Total credits for all modules: 292 2. Credits for 3 Projects: 45 Total Credits: 337 Whether I will get the certificate for the current module only? Or I will get the certificate for the current module along with the pre-requisite modules?On clearing the pre-requisite exam he/she will be eligible to do the module he/she wishes to do. He/she thus, will not get any credit and or the certificate for the pre-requisite clearance. On passing the module end examination the student will get the credits allocated for that module.Whether I will get the certificate for GraDE IT by appearing for the end module examinations only?You can appear for the end module examinations and get the GraDE IT certificate, provided you clear all end module examinations and complete the project work at the centre. For doing this you need to pay the requisite end module / pre-requisite examination fees and the fees for doing the project of all the four diplomas.If I want to complete a course or a module, and I don't want to register. Is it possible?For doing any module(s) or course(s) student has to register first. It is not possible to undergo any module(s) or course(s) without registering for the GraDE IT programme.Is the installment facility available?No direct installment facility is available but the student has the option of paying the fees module-wise. This is a facility to pay the fee in installments.What is the benefit of paying the full fees for the course in single installment?If the student pays the entire fees for the course in single installment and if this course is the first course after his registration for GraDE IT then the registration fees of Rs.500/- will be adjusted against the complete fees paid by the student for a particular course. Thus, the student may have to pay Rs.500/- less.However, this facility is available for the first time full payment of the course. For any subsequent full payment, this facility is not available. Whether manual forms are available?The application forms are available online only.Do I get the course material?Yes, a copy of the course material for each student who has paid the full fee for the specific module, is provided by C-DAC, ACTS.Do I get the course material if I appear for the module end examination only?The course material is not available even at a price for the students who wish to appear for the module-end examination only.Can I pay the module/ course fees in cash?The fees should be paid by a DD only. The DD should be drawn in favour of "C-DAC,ACTS" and payable at PuneWhat is the Eligibility for GraDE IT?Any person who has completed 10 + 2 years of formal education is eligible to register for the GraDE IT programme. How to know which centres are offering the GraDE IT programme?A student need to visit the ACTS Website for knowing about the centres offering the GraDE IT programme. Please note that not all centres offer all courses covered under GraDE IT programme. The student thus, is advised to verify with the desired centre about the availability / delivery schedule of the course and the convenience of the same before paying the registration fee of Rs. 500/- and or the module / course fee. Duration of the course?Individual module(s) have different duration. Please refer page 7 of the course brochure for the details. Although the duration of the course is given in total number of hours including the lab hours, the centres at the local level have the freedom to deliver the course at a pace convenient to the centre and the students based on the local logistics.This is permissible as long as there is an adherence to the total number of hours for the course as specified in the brochure. Is Hostel facility available?Accommodation for out station candidates (if any) may be facilitated by the individual training centres to enable the students to get accommodation from the private entities providing the same.Who will give the certificates of the course?C-DAC, ACTS will give the certificate for all the courses under GraDE IT programmeIs placement assistance available?Placement assistance is available to the students who will successfully complete the entire GraDE IT programme with 337 credits. However there is no guarantee / job assurance of any kind about the placement opportunities.Is Library facility available at all centres?Yes, the library facility is available at all the centres. Can I have the change of center?Student may choose to do any module at any centre, provided that centre offers the module which the student wish to complete. However, no change is possible in the middle of a particular module.
